Unfinished Business – Celebrating 100 years of women’s suffrage in America

To celebrate the 100-year anniversary of passage of the 19th Amendment, and the January 11th birthday of suffragist Alice Paul, NAWBO Ventura County is partnering with the American Association of University Women, Interbranch Council (AAUW-IBC) at their January luncheon. The luncheon will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Los Robles Greens Country Club, 299 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks, 11:30am-2:00pm.

Award winning business woman, NAWBO VC  Public Policy Director, Founder & Chair Emeritus of the Housing Trust Fund Ventura County, and a California delegate to Vision 2020: National Women’s Equality Coalition Dawn Dyer will provide an inspiring recount of the fight for the Women’s Right to Vote. She’ll also review key indicators of women’s equality today, and discuss actions being taken to achieve economic, political and social equity for women. Dawn will be joined by her popular Suffrage Passion Players, who will perform a one-act Suffrage Play.

Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in modern-day or historic suffragist attire.
